Johannes Flieder

Johannes Flieder wurde 1959 in Wien geboren, seine musikalische Ausbildung begann mit Violinunterricht bei Margarethe Biedermann am Konservatorium der Stadt Wien von 1966 bis 1977. Von 1977 bis 1983 studierte er Viola bei Siegfried Führlinger an der Wiener Musikhochschule.
Seit 1980 ist er Solobratscher der Wiener Symphoniker, ebenso 1980 gewann er den 2. Preis des internationalen ARD-Wettbewerbes in München. Als Solist trat er in Österreich, Deutschland, Ungarn sowie Japan auf, seine Engagements als Kammermusiker führten ihn durch die ganze Welt. Darüber hinaus nahm er an zahlreichen Rundfunk-und CDEinspielungen teil.


Johannes Flieder was born in 1959 in Vienna. His music education started with violin lessons under Margarethe Biedermann at the conservatoire of music of Vienna from 1966 until 1977. From 1977 to 1983 he studied the viola under Siegfried Führlinger at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Since 1980 he is leading the viola section at the „Wiener Symphoniker“ and was second at the international ARD contest in Munich. As a soloist he performed in Austria, Germany, Hungary as well as in Japan and his work as a chamber musician lead him around the world. Additionally he took part in numerous radio performances and CD recordings.
